A little planning is the key to getting great senior portraits.

Clothes:
| |

Keep it simple.
| |

Coordinate your outfit from head to toe.
| |

Dark clothes minimize body size.
| |

Don't mix lights and darks in the same outfit.
Avoid stripes, large prints,
and logos.
| |

It is best to bring along several additional
clothing choices and let the photographer
help you choose.
| |

Don't forget to bring your hats, belts, jewlery
and especially your class
ring.
| |
NOTE:
Tan lines and sunburns cannot be fixed without expensive
artwork. |
| |
| |
Hair:
| |

Wear your hair
the way you like it best. Guys should NOT have a fresh
haircut. If you need a trim, have it done a week before.
Guys should also come in with a fresh shave.

Pets: |
| |
Let us know in
advance if you are bringing in your pet and please bring
along a friend or parent to care for your pet. You will
be very busy during the session. If possible, the pet should
remain in a pet carrier when it's not in the shoot.
| |
| |
Make-up:
| |
Wear your make-up no heavier
than you would for an evening out. Even if you don't normally
wear make-up, a light foundation and powder to tone down
and reduce shine will even out your skin tone. Heavier
make-up at the end of your session will produce dramatic
black and white photos.

| |
| |
Glasses: |
| |
The lenses often cause glare
and distortion. Bring in an empty pair of frames in your
style. You may borrow frames from your optometrist.

Your
Input:
| |
Look at your favorite CD covers
and magazines for ideas and bring them in. We are open
to any suggestions. Or better yet, come in for a free consultation.
